The Cabestan Nostromo is an insane watch inspired by the ship of the same name from Alien. It uses several drums on the face to display hours, minutes and seconds, and costs $141,000. It\’d be so cool if a little alien popped out on the hour like a cuckoo clock.

Now here\’s a good idea: street maps that are made to be crumpled up and stuffed in a pocket. The maps are printed on waterproof tyvek. Hopefully the wrinkles don\’t get in the way of legibility.

As part of a promotional campaign Ikea is decorating several Paris subway stations with lamps, sofas and wallpaper. It\’s like having a train running through your living room! I wonder how long till that stuff gets stolen though.

The gold medal Olympics hockey game was watched by an estimated 80% of all Canadians, and according to this water usage chart for Edmonton, they all went to the bathroom at the same time. Amazing, synchronized pissing and shitting. I would\’ve thought the sewage system would explode.
