Ron Gilbert talks about the new Monkey Island games on his blogs. He also re-played the original and shares some interesting facts about it. Heh heh, he was stumped by one of his own puzzles.

Along with the Monkey Island remake, Lucasarts also announced Tales of Monkey Island, a new 5-part episodic game. It\’s made by a different game studio though, so we\’ll see how good this one is.

Coming out this summer is The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition. It\’s the classic original updated with hand-drawn graphics, voice acting, new interface, and re-mastered music. You can also swap between the new and the old version on the fly. The screenshots look pretty good. They stayed faithful to the original while modernizing the graphics.

These are awesome: Lego models of the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Guggenheim and Fallingwater. You know how on Lego boxes they have pictures of other models you can build with the same set? It\’d be so cool if an alternate model for one of these was a Taco Bell or something.
I hope they come with a Frank mini-figure too.

The 6 Creepiest Abandoned Places. My personal favorite is Danvers State Insane Asylum in Massachusetts. It was the setting for Session 9 and since then it was turned into apartments. Haunted apartments, presumably.
