US troops are using AK-47s confiscated from Iraqis. Tank crews aren\’t issued enough rifles for each person, so troops started using AK-47s which are plentiful in Iraq. Apparently the rifles jam less frequently than M16s, plus AK ammo is more readily available. I\’ve always wondered about that. Can soldiers use any gun they find on the battlefield?
