If you haven\’t heard, Stephen King was releasing his latest novel serially over the web. Payment was based on the honor system, and if less than 75% of people paid he wouldn\’t release any more parts. Well, people have been paying, cause he\’s releasing the fourth part.

I think the whole don\’t-release-more-unless-people-pay thing is a good idea, but it probably only works because King\’s famous. If some unknown writer tried the same thing people would tell him to fuck off, gimme the other parts.
