I went home for the weekend, so there weren\’t any posts. Saturday afternoon we went to a dinky computer show in Pasadena. All together I\’d say there were 5 dealers; 2 sold shitty used junk and none had what I wanted. So that was a waste. Also watched Charlie\’s Angels. I really liked the attitude of the movie, that fun, don\’t take things too seriously feeling. Music was cool too. And, damn, Cameron Diaz, Lucy Liu, and Drew Barrymore are really hot. I mean, they were hot before Charlie\’s Angels, but they\’re even hotter now. They\’re magically babelicious.
This morning me and my brother went to a big comic book show in LA. I used to collect comics, but I stopped a few years ago. Anyway, I didn\’t have anything else to do today so I thought I might go to a show again just to see what\’s happening. When we were waiting in line, we saw these 3 dudes in stormtrooper costumes walking towards us. For just a brief moment I thought they were going to hassle us. Arnold Schwarzenegger was supposed to be there, but we left before he came. The cast of Dungeons and Dragons was also there, although the only person I knew was Thora Birch from American Beauty. We didn\’t stick around to hear any dorky questions the audience was bound to ask though. My brother picked up Ash and Kaneda toys. I got a few issues of Dark Minds, a cool anime-style comic. While we were walking around, who should we see but Dr. Zaiuss from Planet of the Apes, sitting at a little table by himself. It was kind of sad actually, this old man being ignored by most of the people there. So we ignored him too and moved on. Anyway, the comic show was fun, if only to find out that my old comics are worth absolutely nothing.
