Marineland was a theme park on the Palos Verdes peninsula in LA that my parents took me to once. In 1987 it was bought by the owners of Seaworld and shut down. According to the Wikipedia entry it opened a year before Disneyland and was considered LA\’s first theme park. Anyway, that\’s my bit of 80s nostalgia for today.
