The iPod touch is exactly what I was hoping Apple would release: an iPhone without the phone function. This way you can use all the cool functions over wi-fi without needing a subscription. The 16gb size does sort of suck though, especially since you can get an iPod classic with 10 times more space. Then again, I made do with a 10gb iPod for 4 years.
