The Simpsons 3rd season on DVD is available for pre-order, shipping on August 26th. This is when the series started getting really good; many of Entertainment Weekly\’s 25 Best Simpsons Episodes (link no longer available) came from this season. They also started broadcasting in surround sound, so you can finally give your home theater a workout.

The first season of King of the Hill is also coming on July 1st. I only started watching it last year, and it\’s now one of my favorite shows. It\’s not laugh-out-loud funny like the Simpsons, it\’s more subtle humor that you have to pay attention to. Mike Judge is a genius.
