The Gigabeat is a new Windows iPod competitor made by Toshiba, who coincidentally also make the iPod\’s hard drive. The Gigabeat has a removable 5 gig hard drive and a USB 2.0 interface. It\’s slightly larger than the iPod and has a smaller screen, and costs about the same.
Doesn\’t look as elegant as the iPod though, but hopefully Apple will lower the iPod\’s price and include Windows support. And then we\’ll have a nice mp3 player war.
