• The LA Times has a lot of cool Olympics graphics. Here\’s an explanation of curling, and here\’s a diagram/elevation of the bobsled/luge/skeleton track. I didn\’t know it was so steep, it looks almost flat on tv.

On a related note, what\’s up with 2 man luge? It\’s so weird. I think it\’d be much cooler if they had to face each other.

  • If I ever wanted to buy a yacht I\’d get the Ariete Primo, a yacht disguised as a tugboat. The 43 year old tugboat was refurbished and now has luxurious cabins, a gym, and a spa. I always thought tugboats were pretty cool. I\’d disguise it even more though; scratch the paint, leave greasy ropes and chains lying around, hang old tires around the sides, hire some mangy sailors to stand around on the deck to add atmosphere.

What would be even cooler, though, is a yacht disguised as a pirate ship. How come no one\’s done that yet?

  • I had no idea so many modern TV shows are green-screened. Just a few weeks ago I was thinking to myself that a lot of shows are shot on location. Guess not.

  • Artist Ibraheem Youssef created these awesome minimalist posters for Tarantino movies. They\’re available in 12×18\” and 24×36\”.
