• Trailer for Koolhaas Houselife, a documentary about a house designed by Rem Koolhaas in France. Its owner is wheelchair-bound so the house is full of slick moving walls, platforms, and automated panels. Sort of like that house in 13 Ghosts except, you know, not haunted.

  • Australian man gunned down in driveway by killer robot

He spent hours searching the Internet for a way to kill himself, downloaded what he needed and then built a complex machine that would remotely fire a gun.

The machine was attached to a .22 semi-automatic pistol loaded with four bullets.

It was able to fire multiple shots into the man\’s head after he activated it.

Doesn\’t that violate one of the 3 Laws?

  • This is so cool. BrickArms sells custom weapons for Lego figures for $1 each. They have shotguns, machine guns, grenades. They also have custom figures like bandits, WW2 soldiers, and the coolest one: a Lego James Bond figure complete with a silenced PPK and an Uzi hidden in a briefcase. Judging by the haircut it looks like Roger Moore.

  • Shopkeepers Revolt Against Sicilian Mafia

…all products and staff are 100 per cent guaranteed Mafia-free, supplied only by shops and producers which have stood up to Sicily\’s Cosa Nostra and refused to pay protection money.

\’I decided it was right to give those traders who refuse to pay an extra opportunity,\’ said Messina, 29, a former boating instructor and bar owner and now owner of Punto Pizzofree.

In other news today, police in Siciliy found the body of a 29 year old man drowned in a river…

  • We Are The World performed entirely by Japanese impersonators. Cyndi Lauper\’s awesome.

  • Terrifying Mining Gear. I like number 13. That thing looks like it\’ll fuck you up and take your wallet.

  • Nine Inch Nails just released Ghosts I – IV, an instrumental double album. The first 9 tracks are free to download, while the entire album is available for download as high quality mp3s for $5. An actual CD copy is $10. This is the first album Trent\’s released completely independently and free of any contract with any label. It\’ll be interesting to see how successful this is (the insanely heavy traffic to the site might be a good indicator).
