Trapped miners survive on coal, urine diet

Two Chinese brothers who tunnelled their way out of a coal mine collapse after being trapped for nearly six days survived by eating coal and drinking urine, a local newspaper reported Tuesday.

That sounds like the worst job in the whole world. The next time you think your job sucks, just remember, at least you\’re not working in an illegal coal mine and eating coal and piss.

Sable-3 – Photos taken from the edge of space. These guys hung a Nikon Coolpix from a giant helium balloon and sent it up 117,597 feet. I\’m amazed that when the balloon popped and the camera fell back to earth, it landed pretty close to the launch site.

This company makes cool desk lamps out of old Vespa handlebars and headlights. They\’re expensive, though, at $1500. Then again, you can\’t put a price on style. And when you\’re bored you can grab the handlebars and pretend you\’re riding through Rome with Audrey Hepburn.

This converted water tower house in the Netherlands is really cool. I love the rivets in the kitchen ceiling, and the stairwell exit to the roof deck is awesome.

MyCuppa are mugs with color-coded strips inside that you match using cream to make varying strengths of coffee. Very cool, although it doesn\’t solve the sugar amount problem.
