• As I was saying yesterday… SeaWorld trainer hurt in whale attack

As several hundred spectators watched, the whale and trainer plunged underwater, where Kasatka grabbed Peters by the foot and held him for less than a minute before surfacing, Koontz said.

  • California sea lions attack humans

In the most frightening of the recent episodes, a rogue sea lion bit 14 swimmers this month and chased 10 more out of the water at San Francisco\’s Aquatic Park, a sheltered lagoon near the bay.

First stingrays, now sea lions attacking people. I, for one, welcome our new marine overlords.

  • The Top 10 Movie Spaceships. Nice list, but where\’s the Event Horizon? Any spaceship that\’s been to hell and back is a winner to me. I gotta give them credit for including the Thunder Road and the Gunstar though, I loved those movies.

  • I added a gallery of panoramas from my recent trip. I used AutoStitch to put them together and they came out really well.

  • Someone spent $900 on \”Sony Playstations, 3 of them.\” At least the shipping was free.

  • I put up a gallery of my trip. There was lots of great scenery on this trip, although in some cities like Chung King it was too hazy to see anything.

The Hyperdrive worked great by the way. Every night I spent a few minutes dumping my cards onto the drive and I was ready to shoot again. It was small and fast. I didn\’t have to bring my laptop this time and worry about it breaking or getting stolen.

  • Bullet Train Surfing. This guy\’s my new hero.

  • I\’m back from China. Came back Friday night actually. It was a blast, I can\’t believe it was only 2 weeks. We saw giant pandas, buddhist cliff carvings, the Yangtze River and the Three Gorges, the Three Gorges Dam, several old towns, the Huangshan Mountains, Shanghai, and the new Suzhou Museum designed by I.M. Pei. I\’ll post some pictures later.
