DVD Talk reviews the latest release of Star Wars; this time it\’s the original 1977 movie (where Han shoots first). Unfortunately Lucasfilm used a non-anamorphic, un-restored transfer. You can definitely see differences in the comparison screenshots in the review; the original film looks softer and less detailed. And George Lucas really knows how to pump the fans for money. The original films are only available with the special edition versions from a couple years ago (which are now available separately), but the fans already bought the special editions when they came out. And you know they\’re gonna release a better transfer later on.
