This guy made some maps of video game levels, like Mario Bros. and Zelda. It might be cool to print out a level as a giant poster and hang it in my room.

When caricaturist Bill Green was robbed, he drew a picture of the robber and gave it to the police. The police arrested the guy 15 minutes later, saying the drawing was a great likeness. Great story, but the stupid article doesn\’t have a picture of the robber to compare to the drawing.

This clip is allegedly test footage from the Transformers movie. Eh, looks alright, I guess. Of course, it could also be a viral ad. I can\’t tell anymore.

Wow, a life-size Han Solo frozen in carbonite made out of Legos. I wonder if it\’s solid or hollow.

Google Video lets you download videos in iPod and PSP format now. Oh man, this is so cool. There used to be no way to save Google videos except in a weird, hacked flash format. I got a video iPod for xmas and now I have videos to fill it up with.

Luminous Landscape has a first-look at Adobe Lightroom, Adobe\’s competitor to Apple\’s Aperture. Lightroom has lower system requirements than Aperture, and it\’ll be available for Windows, so it already has 2 pluses over Aperture. A beta version is available for Macs right now.

In Germany it\’s a big New Year\’s tradition to watch an obscure British skit from 1963 called Dinner for One. It\’s strange cause it\’s never been shown in the UK or the US, but it\’s huge in Germany. Yeah, it\’s mildly funny, but nothing to get excited about. Maybe it gets funnier with repeated viewings.

A Washington company is making a wearable headset for the iPod called the EyeBud. It hangs a tiny display in front of one eye, and because it\’s so close it looks like you\’re watching a 105 inch display from 12 feet away. Is there any way to wear this without looking like a douchebag?
First post of 2006 and it has the word \’douchebag\’ in it. The year\’s off to a great start!
