• Lexus a nexus between cars and phone viruses?

Moscow-based Kaspersky Labs was asked last weekend how to disinfect the onboard computers of several Lexus models: LX470, LS430 and Landcruiser 100. The security company was told that the infection likely occurred via a mobile phone.

Some mobile-phone viruses already exist, such as Cabir and Skulls, which spread by Bluetooth and infect handsets based on the Symbian operating system. Many Lexus cars include a navigation system that can connect to a mobile phone over Bluetooth to allow hands-free calls, and Kaspersky believes that Bluetooth could be used to transmit a virus to a car\’s GPS navigation system.

Luckily Lexus doesn\’t have any sports cars, cause Norton AntiVirus\’ Auto-Protect would slow them way down.

  • This is a cool commercial for the new Volkswagen GTI (and it\’s nowhere near as offensive as the suicide bomber ad (unless you hate Gene Kelly for some reason)). I can\’t wait till the new GTI comes out here. It\’s getting great reviews in Europe. They say it\’s the best GTI since the 2nd generation.

  • This site has some more subversive street art. The velvet rope on the crosswalk is especially clever.

  • This Has To Be Homer Simpson…

A Czech man is being taken to court after he hid in a restaurant washroom until the employees had left and then hooked up beer kegs directly to his mouth.

Nah, that sounds more like Barney.

  • The Architecture of Density is an awesome gallery of abstracted apartment buildings in Hong Kong. Some of these could probably be used as tiling wallpapers.

  • Ha ha, this is brilliant. There\’s a bootleg Disneyland themepark in Thailand.

  • I put up some photos from this year\’s auto show. All photos were taken with my new Nikon D70, which is an excellent camera. It\’s very fast and responsive, there\’s absolutely no lag at all.

  • The G-Drive is a cute little external hard drive in a perforated aluminum case like the Mac G5 towers. I don\’t have much else to say about it, I just think it looks neat. My speed metal hard drive is still cooler, though.

  • This is so cool, someone transcribed the Super Mario Bros. songs into sheet music. He even used those fancy Italian words for \”fast\”, \”faster\”, \”slowly\”, etc.

  • Court Won\’t Block KKK from Highway Cleanup

The court\’s rejection, made without comment, means that the KKK chapter must be allowed into Missouri\’s Adopt-A-Highway program, which is designed to save money by using volunteers for garbage pickup.

Good for the KKK. So if you\’re driving in Missouri on the 21 near Potosi, feel free to throw your trash, dirty diapers, used condoms, human waste, etc. out the window.
