This graphic compares the length of the credits of various movies. The Lord of the Rings guys should do what the Naked Gun guys did for their credits. If your credits are gonna be that long, at least put in some jokes for the people willing to actually read all the credits.

HP and Apple have a deal to make an HP branded mp3 player based on the iPod. From the picture it looks like they just changed the color. And could they possibly have chosen a less sterile name than \”HP Digital Music Player\”? Maybe hPod or something?

Good article about the pirated movie and software scene. They\’re mainly motivated by ego rather than money. They want to provide something no one else has yet. The groups are big organizations; they include people who have access to a movie/software, convert it into a digital file, break the code, split it into convenient parts, and distribute it to other sites.

A woman admitted through tears Thursday that she lied about losing the winning ticket for a $162 million lottery prize, saying: \”I wanted to win so badly for my kids and my family.\”
Darn it, I really thought she was telling the truth.

Sony\’s new X505 is the world\’s slimmest laptop at only 9.7mm thick. It\’s made of carbon fiber (the same stuff used in race cars) and nickel carbon to reduce weight. It has a sloping design, reminiscent of an empty 3-ring binder. There\’s no CD-ROM, but it\’s decked out with a lot of other features: ethernet, modem, firewire, USB and PC card slot.

So the rumors were true (and this guy was smart): new mini iPods. I\’m impressed, looks like they didn\’t leave out any features. The buttons are combined with the scroll wheel.
