The Bombardier Embrio is a cool little concept vehicle that uses gyroscopes to balance a rider on its single wheel. Sort of like a cyberpunk Segway. It\’s powered by a hydrogen fuel cell and has a small landing gear-like wheel that deploys at low speed for stability. You ride it like a motorcycle, leaning into turns and using the handlebars for brakes and gas. This thing looks like it\’d be so much fun to ride. The press release has more info.

If you have a pair of headphones, put them on, close your eyes, and listen to this mp3. It\’s an incredibly realistic 3D recording of someone shaking a box of matches around your head. It uses a technique called binaural recording, which uses 2 microphones spaced apart from each other the same distance as human ears. Very slick.

Crate and Barrel has a cool little pocket FM radio that sort of looks like an iPod, but with the circle in the wrong place. It has a built-in speaker and includes a rechargeable battery. And there\’s also a matching flashlight.

The DoubleSight dual-LCD monitor looks so cool. And it\’s actually affordable (sort of), unlike that other one I mentioned.
