  • Interesting article about a guy who reads the New York Times front to back every day and he\’s 1 year and 5 months behind.

Tobin reads the Times every day, struggling to find the two and a half hours necessary to get through it. He keeps stacks of newspapers in the front seat of his car and in spare cupboards, in case he finds himself without a paper in hand.

I imagine that sometime around January of this year he opened up the paper and said \”Holy shit! What happened to the World Trade Center?!\”

  • CodeFellas, a cool article about doing tech support for the mob.

So what\’s a nice techie like me doing in a place like this? I gotta be honest. For starters, I don\’t think there\’s anything wrong with gambling – it\’s a private, symmetrical transaction between consenting adults. By another name – lottery, casino, offtrack betting – this sort of operation is completely legal. And it\’s not like I\’m shaking people down for protection money. Besides, I tried the dotcom thing and failed. Plus, here I\’m appreciated: Organized crime is smart enough to know that it doesn\’t know tech.

  • More info about the Embrio, including a side pic. It seriously looks like it\’d be more fun to ride than a Tomahawk.

  • C.O.P.S. (the Central Organization of Police Specialists) was one of my favorite cartoons from the 80\’s. The main character was named B.P. Vess (Bulletproof vest, get it?) cause he had a metal cyborg torso that was bulletproof. And then there was a bad guy who had machine guns that fold out of his chest. Anyway, I just remembered the show again for some reason. This site has the opening sequence and end credits. That theme song rocks.
