• The new Power Mac G5 was introduced today. It has the world\’s first 64-bit processor and can use up to 8gb of memory. Not to mention the case looks slick. Apple\’s industrial design continues to impress me. The iSight webcam also looks really neat.

  • My new favorite blog is Tard Blog, about two teacher\’s experiences with their special-ed classes. Naturally, teaching tards leads to some hilarious stories. I probably shouldn\’t laugh at them, but hey, they\’re funny, so I laugh anyway.

  • The Simpsons 3rd season on DVD is available for pre-order, shipping on August 26th. This is when the series started getting really good; many of Entertainment Weekly\’s 25 Best Simpsons Episodes (link no longer available) came from this season. They also started broadcasting in surround sound, so you can finally give your home theater a workout.

The first season of King of the Hill is also coming on July 1st. I only started watching it last year, and it\’s now one of my favorite shows. It\’s not laugh-out-loud funny like the Simpsons, it\’s more subtle humor that you have to pay attention to. Mike Judge is a genius.

  • The most impressive flight simulator setup I\’ve ever seen. 13 monitors hooked up to 9 computers. He needs to get some LCDs with thin borders so it\’ll be almost seamless.

The flight simulator guys always have crazy setups, like the guy who built an entire 737 cockpit.

  • New Yorkers are using email to set up flash mobs, big crowds that suddenly materialize at a certain location. Pictures here. This is so damn cool. I wish stuff like this would happen in LA.

  • Those giant robot arms used in car assembly lines will soon be a rollercoaster ride at amusement parks.

\”It picks you up and it pulls you through different motions in G-forces that get exerted on your body,\” Manzella says. \”It\’s mainly dynamic movements that nobody\’s ever seen before.

The 8000 pound robots are controlled by Windows. I can\’t image what would happen if it crashes.

  • Boy Breeds Beetles In His Body

A 13-year-old Indian boy has begun producing winged beetles in his urine after hatching the eggs in his body, a senior medical official says.

    Ewwwww.

  • Ulrich Mad About Music Used on Iraqis

Metallica\’s Lars Ulrich isn\’t happy that the U.S. military has reportedly used the group\’s music to terrify captured Iraqis. Speaking in Europe, the drummer said he feels horrible about it.

Of course, we all know the real reason Metallica\’s pissed is cause the army used mp3s, not actual CDs.

  • Hmmm…a live-action Transformers movie. That\’s gonna be kind of weird. I hope they fix the little things that bug me, like how Megatron shrinks from a giant robot into a regular-sized handgun when he transforms, and how when Optimus Prime transforms his trailer just sort of flies off and disappears.

  • I wish I had my own business cards cause then I could turn them into a cube. What would I put inside the cube, you ask? Other business cards of course.
