• I\’m going to Vegas this weekend. I\’ll be back on Monday. Vegas, baby, vegas!

  • The Carchip is a useful tool for every car owner. It plugs into your car\’s OBD port and logs speed, throttle position, fuel pressure and other stuff while you drive. Then when you get home you hook it up to your computer and it present the data in a report. It even shows engine trouble codes if your car\’s acting funny.

  • Mark\’s Custom Kits sells an entire kit to convert your Trans Am into KITT. I think I\’ve posted about DIY conversions before, but this is an entire kit you can buy, paint and install yourself. They have functional fiberglass dashboards, overhead and armrest consoles, steering wheel, fiberglass front bumper, and of course the scanning light. Now if only someone would make an A-Team van conversion I could die happily.

  • The Back to the Future trilogy was recently released on DVD but read this before you rush out to buy it. Parts 2 and 3 have framing problems and Universal won\’t exchange for fixed versions until February. You can still watch the original in the meantime though.

  • I predict we\’ll soon see this homemade jetpack on the Darwin Awards. Christ, look at that thing! It doesn\’t look like your average, weekend basement project. This guy means business. God bless him if he doesn\’t kill himself in the test flight.

  • Looks like spam is here to stay, cause according to this article it actually works. The hottest toy this Christmas is tiny radio-controlled cars, called MicroSizers, BitChar-G, ZipZaps and other assorted names. The article says their popularity is partly due to spam advertising – people saw the emails and went to stores looking for them. Bleh. Spam\’s probably going to increase 400% now.

  • The coolest short bus I\’ve seen. They used an actual 1949 Ford school bus and chopped it up, putting 5 years of work into it. Exposed engines are cool.

  • This Is Spinal Tap was selected for preservation in the Library of Congress. Finally I have a reason to visit the library.

  • My favorite new show this season, Firefly, was recently cancelled (stupid Fox). Firefly: Immediate Assistance is a campaign to get another network to pick up the show. I hope it\’s at least released on DVD or something.
