• Once again, some people take video games way too seriously: 21 year old Shawn Woolley killed himself cause of EverQuest. His mom is trying to find out why, it could be cause his character was killed, or he lost a treasure, or he was kicked out of a guild. Or maybe it\’s cause he realized he wasted his life playing EverQuest. Reminds me of that Simpsons Halloween special where France nukes Springfield, and you see the missile as it heads straight for Comic Book Guy and he realizes \”Oohh I\’ve wasted my life.\”

  • Looks like the state of California was a little early with their April Fool\’s joke: a bill was introduced in the state Senate that would give taxpayers the option of getting taxed more. Apprently it\’s for people who feel guilty cause they\’re not paying enough taxes.

Man, you gotta love those wacky Senators. They\’re funnier than Bob Saget.

  • Ars Technica reviews the next generation of wireless technology. They got their hands on a sample cellular modem from Qualcomm, hooked it up to a laptop and played around with it. The results sound very promising. They got a connection rate of 2.2 megs per second, better than most wired LAN connections. The usual internet stuff like Realvideo and Quicktime videos, FTP transfers, and multiplayer gaming were as good as usual. Anyway, I think this is some pretty cool stuff to look forward to.

  • Damnit, I forgot all about April Fool\’s Day so I don\’t have any pranks planned. I missed last year\’s too. Oh well, whatever. Here\’s the Top Ten April Fool\’s Hoaxes of All Time.
