Interesting article about Accubuilt, a company which makes hearses and limousines out of Cadillacs and Lincolns. The finished vehicle is actually stronger and tougher than the original. My favorite part is this quote: \”They also custom install just about anything the buyer wants, from flat screen panel displays to chandeliers.\” Just once in my life I\’d like to see a hearse with a chandelier inside.
On a related note, there\’s a limo rental company in the same office park where I work and they have a stretch limo monster truck. Seriously, it\’s a raised 40-foot-long pickup truck with giant monster truck tires, a couple dozen headlights, and a cute little flatbed in the back. The bastards park it across 6 slots.

I\’m so proud of myself. I built my dad a Pentium 4 computer and it booted up on the second try! It didn\’t work the first time, so I moved the ram to another slot, tried again, and it worked perfectly. I rock.

George Lucas finally admits Episode 1 was a disappointment.
In a discussion of the huge marketing operation that accompanied the film, the director\’s company Lucasfilm said: \”The last movie did not live up to expectations.\”
…
The new film will have a \”darker feel, closer to the original saga\” and \”no silly characters or kids\”Woohoo! In your face George Lucas. Now apologize for Jar Jar.

When Speech Does a 180 is a neat article about analyzing hidden messages encoded backwards in songs and speechs. Not the messages that encourage you to worship Satan, but unintentional messages created by the speaker\’s subconscious.
Now, in the article it mentions they analyzed a speech by Osama Bin Laden and discovered the phrase \”Our government is wrong; terror now.\” So did they listen to an English translation or the original Arabic? And what language was the reversal in?
