Now this is cool: the Sony MEX-HD1 car stereo can rip CDs and store them directly on its internal hard drive. You just put in the CD, choose which songs you want to rip, and from then on you don\’t need to use the CD anymore. Christ, it\’s $1500 though.

Enron employees who lost their life savings are selling Enron items on eBay, such as manuals and logo baseball hats and golf balls. Right on! I say these people should go back to their offices and take everything that\’s not bolted down.
The risk management manual is currently at $960!

Damn, this is one hell of a typo: A plaque was created that was supposed to honor James Earl Jones, but instead it read \”Thank you James Earl Ray for keeping the dream alive.\” James Earl Ray is the guy who murdered Martin Luther King Jr.

So I\’m thinking, if I want to get an mp3 player, I should start filling in the ID3 tags on all my mp3s. From what I\’ve read the players use the ID3 information to display the song title and all that stuff. Anyway, the TagMaster came in pretty handy for editing all those tags.

I finally saw Ocean\’s 11 yesterday. I was especially looking for the scene that was filmed across the street from my old apartment. It\’s always cool when you recognize in a movie something you know in real life.

When I went to UCI we had ethernet in the dorms. That was probably the coolest part about college (I\’m pathetic). Oddly enough, I never noticed any lag or connection problems as reported in this article. Occasionally the network would be down, but it was usually for just a few hours. And I knew people who were downloading gigs of mp3s, movies, warez, and porn, as well as running Quake servers. I think I moved out at the right time too, as my brother lived in the dorms last year and he said they put a cap on the connection speed. Heh heh.
