I saw Ghost World after all on Friday. I wasn\’t gonna let my stupid car keep me down, so I walked across campus to the University Center theater. I probably should\’ve walked anyway cause it\’s so close, but I\’m lazy. Anyway, I loved it. The characters in the movie are so cool, especially Enid, the main character. She\’s ultra-cynical and wears cool glasses, just the kind of girlfriend I want. And there\’s all these goofy minor characters in the movie too, like the guy at the convenience store and the clerk at the video store. I probably make no sense right now, but just watch the movie and you\’ll know what I mean.

ManMachine Interface is the newest anime by Masamune Shirow, the guy who created Ghost in the Shell. Somebody scanned the comic and you can read it online. Well, if you can read Japanese that is. The pictures are nice to look at anyway.

So, my car is fixed. It turns out the battery was cracked! Yup, two big cracks right on the top, plus those caps had popped off and there was battery acid or whatever on the bottom of the hood. I don\’t know how the hell it happened, cause my car was working fine just an hour before. My parents came down Saturday and we went to a Pep Boys and got a brand new battery. And then I went home for the weekend.
