• IBM Hikes Disk Drive Size
Whoa, 400 GB hard drives. Think of all the porn-uh, I mean, mp3s I could store. Of course, by the time they come out a Windows installation will take up 100 GB.

  • When you give someone the finger, do you ever stop and wonder about the origin of that gesture? No, me neither. Anyway, wonder no more, cause here\’s the origin of the finger. Just think, you\’re using a couple thousand years of culture when you flip off people.

  • I don\’t know what I would think if I saw a flatulence filter on someone\’s chair. On one hand, he\’s considerate enough to use a filter to absorb the odor. On the other hand, he must have a real serious flatulence problem if he needs a filter.

  • I\’m not sure whether I should look forward to living alone or dread it. After graduation I\’m gonna be on my own for the first time. This is a good article about the subject. Hmmm….I\’m getting sort of depressed thinking about it now.

  • Adrian Tomine, one of my favorite comic artists, is selling some original art, including pages from Optic Nerve and some artwork for Weezer.

  • This weekend was really tiring. Up at 7:00 yesterday and spent all day paintballing. Up at 9:00 today and spent most of the day in the computer lab. Stupid me, hoping for some free time this weekend after studying all last week for that stupid math midterm. I\’m all worn out now. Thank god next week\’s a 3 day weekend.

  • The Young Person\’s Guide to Becoming An Industrial Star. Funny even if you don\’t understand all the references.

  • I decided I\’m going to the ohGr show in Hollywood on the 24th. It\’s a long drive and I have to go to class early the next day, but it\’ll be worth it. With Cevin Key joining Ogre for the tour, it\’s as close to a Skinny Puppy show as I\’ll ever see. According to Litany, they won\’t play any Puppy material, but I know it\’s gonna be a good show regardless. Also, the opening band is Hocico, two dudes from Mexico City. I\’ve never heard their songs, but they\’re supposed to be pretty good.

  • Just got back from paintballing. It was fun, but really tiring. Jungle Island has about 10 different fields, and the first one we played was on a hillside. So for 20 minutes we were running up and downhill. Well, I wasn\’t really running, more like hiding behind a wall. But still. Luckily the next course we played was on flat ground. It was a fairly typical rectangular field with pieces of plywood and junk you could hide behind. I got shot once in the arm. I don\’t think I hit anyone, cause after I shot I ducked back down so I couldn\’t see. My aim\’s terrible too. Real life is much harder than Quake.

With our entrance fee we got a gun, a mask, and 500 paintballs. Combined with the jumpsuits we rented, we looked like the ultimate badasses. It\’s a good thing we rented jumpsuits too, cause by the end they were really dirty. I got a stupid blue camouflage jumpsuit though. Do they actually wear blue camouflage in the military? Where do they use them, in the water?

And, of course we were playing against the hardcore dudes. They had big fancy rapid-fire guns. There were also little kids playing, and kicking our asses too. The funniest thing I saw was a guy who got shot twice in the eyes. Two bright pink splats over his left and right eyes.
