Inside Criterion Collection. Daily Radar interviewed Peter Becker, president of Criterion, and asked him about the selection process, bonus material, and the range of material in the collection. I\’ve only seen a few Criterion Collection movies (Seven Samurai, Chasing Amy, and the Beastie Boys video anthology), but I\’m always blown away by the quality of the movies and all the bonus material.

Looking at A Photographic History of the Station\’s of New York\’s First Subway Line, it makes me wonder: New York built a subway system in 1900 that went throughout the city in 4 years. It took L.A. almost 15 years to build a subway system that just goes from Downtown to North Hollywood and isn\’t very useful. What the hell was L.A. doing?

Went to work this morning for the first time in 4 weeks. My boss saw me and said \”Where the fuck were you?\” Just kidding, she wasn\’t even there today. I don\’t think anybody missed me. I got a bunch of company emails about viruses and infected computers. One computer had 1500 files infected. I also got another email about inappropriate use of computers, and there was a screenshot attached. One of the new student temps had installed a program called \”Direct Sex Access.\” Heh heh, fucking moron. I hope they don\’t restrict net browsing.
