Companies Retooling for Ginger-based Economy

A minor in computer games and gaming was proposed here at UCI last year, but it was voted down. But the assistant professor who came up with the idea is going to submit it again this year. It sounds really interesting, as you need 10 courses for the minor, including programming, computer graphics, digital imaging, and animation. Too bad I\’ll be gone before the minor is approved.

I just got back from Irving\’s place. We made brownies and ate them with vanilla ice cream. And I just realized how utterly lame that is. If anybody asks, we were snorting coke off a hooker\’s chest.

Friday night I was up till 4:00 in the morning watching movies. We rented Titus and SLC Punk. Titus was ok, but I didn\’t like it that much. I loved SLC Punk, however. It was very funny, and totally had a punk, DIY feel to it. I want to start a punk band and get into fights with rednecks now.

Saturday morning I went home. Home was boring and cold. Although I went to the auto show in the afternoon. I\’m not really into cars, but there were a few cool ones. I saw an odd sight while were looking for parking. We passed by a Jaguar convertible: the driver had dreadlocks, the dude in the passenger seat was wearing huge headphones, and sitting on top of the back seat were 2 gorgeous, model-type girls, smiling and doing…whatever models do. It doesn\’t sound all that weird, but trust me, they looked like they came out of an ad in a fashion magazine. I was like, Who the fuck are these guys?

Crikey, slow day for blogging. I haven\’t found any links worth posting. It\’s been raining all week now and I had a scary driving experience today. See, I didn\’t feel like cooking lunch, so I went to Alejandro\’s to get a burrito. While I was on the freeway it started raining hard. I couldn\’t see anything and the wipers weren\’t helping. I was going pretty fast and my car started hydroplaning. Luckily it was only for a second. That was the best burrito I ever had.

This is amazing, I\’m bored. Yet there\’s so much to do here. I have 3 books to read, 2 of which I haven\’t even started yet. I have 4 magazines I haven\’t even flipped through. I have some scanned pictures that I\’m going to put together into a gallery, which I haven\’t started making yet. I think I\’ll watch Lock, Stock, and 2 Smoking Barrels again.
