I\’m about to leave for my hall banquet at this fancy restaurant in Tustin called the Macaroni Grill. Who grills macaroni?

Now this is cool: Havenco is opening an offshore data haven this summer. Data haven\’s are secure computer networks where you can store sensitive information, and governments and their regulations can\’t touch it. Very exciting stuff. If I ever start my own company, I\’d do a data haven.

That\’s a swanky computer case.

When I went to the market last night, the first thing I did was go straight to the booze section. I don\’t drink, I just wanted to look like I was shopping for booze. Ah, the joys of being 21.

Holy shit, I just realized it\’s June! The year\’s half over already! What the hell have I been doing all this time?

FujiFilm officially announced that digital camera/mp3 player that I mentioned earlier. Turns out the camera is 2.47 megapixels, and it can also record 80 second movies! So I guess it\’s not just a novelty item in neat colors.

Heh heh, my new wallpaper is a picture of me, from behind, sitting at my computer and staring at the monitor. It\’s really surreal. Rather disturbing actually. Like I\’m looking at myself from outside my body.
Whoa, I think I just had an existential experience.

I tried to use Jabber this morning. It\’s an instant messaging program that works with AIM and ICQ. I wasn\’t impressed. Windows could be resized so that buttons and text were cut off, and I get weird error messages when I first tried to log on. Even their webpage looks funny. Although, it\’s just a beta, so it\’ll probably get much better.

Oh yeah, and when I got back to my room the Fight Club DVD that my friend Khanh ordered for me for my birthday was waiting on my chair. That\’s so cool.

Went to San Diego today for the Nine Inch Nails concert with my friend Bobby from L.A. and his girlfriend Heather. Nice little roadtrip before the crush of the final two weeks of school. We got on the freeway and headed south. After a while the concrete made a sharp turn and suddenly the ocean appeared on the right. Soon we were surrounded by open land, the highway shooting between farmland on our right and low hills on our left. The trip was much shorter than I thought it would be, so we got there with plenty of time to spare.
We found the Cox Arena (yeah, it was named after Cox Communications) at San Diego State University (which is a dump, by the way), but it was too early and we were hungry, so we drove around, ate at Burger King, then went back. The show started at 8:00, and at 4:00 there was already a sizable crowd in line. Boring wait, I won\’t say more. NIN was just amazing; they put on an awesome show. The sound was perfect: clear sounds, deep bass, each note could be heard. They used these screens that showed mesmerizing water images for some of the instrumental songs from The Fragile, very arty. I\’ll write up a full review later and post it on my other site. Heather and Bobby got me a very nice Fragility tour program (birthday present), and I got a t-shirt and a neat ticket stub holder.
After the show we stopped by a market for food before heading home. Surprisingly, I wasn\’t really tired. I was wide awake actually, though I\’ll probably sleep til 3:00 pm tomorrow. Driving back was different: it was pitch black on both sides of the car, kinda creepy. I\’m tired now. I\’m going to sleep.
