• 68 Kids Eliminated in Spelling Bee. Was this really newsworthy? Maybe I\’m just a mean asshole, but this sounds like the kind of thing The Onion would write.

  • Richard Senate, Ghost Stalker!!! More spooky ghosty things.

  • Adobe\’s gone to beta already with Photoshop 6.0. There\’s tons of cool new features and tools, but I don\’t even use 95% of Photoshop 5.5. Ah well, I guess it\’s better to have too much functionality than not enough.

  • Hmmm…so I got the battery for my camera. No camera, just the battery. I guess they shipped them separately. It looks cute though. I\’m gonna string the battery on a chain and wear it around my neck, and when the girls ask me what it is I\’ll say, \”That\’s power, baby.\”

  • Whoa, this geeky dude who looks exactly like Bill Gates walked by my desk at work. Damn, I wish I had my camera. I checked my order status and it says \”Sent to warehouse.\” Why the hell are they sending it to the warehouse? Don\’t send it to the warehouse, send it to me, morons!

  • I\’ve never heard of Odigo but apparently it\’s been available since January. It\’s an instant messaging program that works with AIM and ICQ. Even though AIM sucks, I\’m forced to use it cause some of my friends use it, and everybody at work uses it too. Anyway, now I can talk to my cool ICQ friends and my dorky AIM friends at the same time. Yay!

  • I finally ordered a digital camera, along with a battery charger for it. This is gonna be cool, I can\’t wait to carry it around with me and take pictures of everything. No more waiting for the film to be developed to see if a shot came out ok. No more deciding whether or not I should take a picture of something cause it might be a waste of film.

While I was shopping around for the camera, I realized the importance of good design. If a site was ugly, poorly designed, and just all-around amateurish, I was apprehensive about purchasing from that site. The site could have the lowest price around, but if the site itself looked cheap, I\’m buying somewhere else. This is especially important when shopping for expensive items. Buying a $400 camera from an amateurish site is like buying a stereo from the trunk of some dude\’s beat-up Camaro. I ended up buying from buy.com, whose site looks much more professional. I totally support the DIY ethic, but come on guys, try a little harder.

  • My sentiments exactly. I fucking hate SUVs. I\’m planning on mounting some long spikes on my trunk, mounted on poles so they\’re raised up a couple of feet, and pointed backwards. So if a fucking SUV rear-ends me cause the driver is chatting on his cellphone and sipping his latte, I\’m taking him out with me.

  • I\’m going home for the long weekend, so posts will be sporadic.

  • Got my access code for the Diablo 2 stress test. Heh heh, there go my grades.
